Who am I

Truly independent, accountable to no government, no corporate sponsor, and no advertiser. My only loyalty is to the truth. Not objectivity (an unattainable ideal), but integrity: honest methods, transparent corrections, and the willingness to admit mistakes. I combat groupthink wherever we encounter it: in corporate media, state propaganda, and within our own political circles. I do not abandon uncomfortable truths simply because they are not in fashion.

I may be mistaken, but I will never deliberately mislead. My conclusions are not infallible, but they are based on careful research, assisted by AI for sourcing and advice on language and layout. All too often, mainstream media downplays atrocities or frames mass civilian killings as “collateral damage.” We will name these cases, provide evidence, and hold those in power accountable, because defying the mainstream consensus is not a pose, but a necessity.

The Jacobin Name & Historical Context

The Jacobin invokes the early Jacobins of the French Revolution — before the Terror — who fought for universal rights, republican equality, and the end of absolute monarchy. I adopt their original idealism, not their later descent into political violence. Today we see a different kind of concentrated power: a neoliberal EU with a worrying democratic deficit, where the Commission is appointed rather than directly elected, and where ordinary citizens feel just as voiceless and misunderstood as the common people under the ancien régime.
